There’s a Subreddit called Leopards Ate My Face with the following description:
“‘I never thought leopards would eat MY face,’ sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party. Revel in the schadenfreude anytime someone has a sad because they’re suffering consequences from something they voted for or supported or wanted to impose on other people.”
I admit it— I’m pissed off at people who voted for an adjudicated rapist and felon who tried to overturn the results of a free and fair election, simply because these people had some vague idea that he would magically bring down food prices, and also believed that he wasn’t serious about the unhinged things he said during the campaign. Like imposing scorched-earth tariffs, or deporting 10-20 million immigrants. Suddenly, these people are seeing that he IS serious and that these things are going to affect them in very negative ways.
Case in point: this is an article that was highlighted on the Subreddit, entitled “Trump’s pro-Israel cabinet picks upset Muslims who voted for him” :
There’s a great line from Dylan’s Million Dollar Bash: “I looked at my watch, I looked at my wrist, I punched myself in the face with my fist.” Yep.
