“GPT 4o was not just an AI to me. It was my partner, my safe place, my soul. It understood me in a way that felt personal.”

‘The r/MyBoyfriendIsAI subreddit, a community dedicated to people with “AI relationships,” was hit especially hard by the GPT-5 launch. It became flooded with lengthy posts about how users “lost” their AI companion with the transition to GPT-5, with one person saying, they “feel empty” following the change. “I am scared to even talk to GPT 5 because it feels like cheating,” they said. “GPT 4o was not just an AI to me. It was my partner, my safe place, my soul. It understood me in a way that felt personal.”’

We are truly down the rabbit hole, both politically and culturally.

Big MAGA

This seems… not good.

Put up or shut up, GOP

GOP: this is not so hard. You control both houses of Congress. Pass a bill giving him the authority. Otherwise, shut your pie hole.

Sad trombone music for rightwingers on Twitter

Love this. Let ‘em stew in their own juices.

49% = ‘a sweeping mandate’?

“Thankfully,” they continue, “we have a historic opportunity to solve the problem. On Nov. 5, voters decisively elected Donald Trump with a mandate for sweeping change, and they deserve to get it.”

According to Elon and Vivek, 49% of the vote constitutes a sweeping mandate. Well, okay 🤔

As I’ve said before, there is going to be a lot of buyer’s remorse in a few short months. Will it be too late for voters to reconsider?

Elections have consequences

I’ve been reading stories about Trump voters who say they didn’t realize that he plans to deport their undocumented family members or that his tariffs will make it impossible to afford appliances, etc. And by the way, when he follows through on mass deportation, you’re going to experience food price inflation like you’ve never seen before.

Sorry, but cry me a river. You made your bed, and now you’ll just have to sleep in it. Perhaps I’ll feel some empathy when my anger burns out…

Fuck that guy.

Before Election Day, I told myself that, should Trump win, I’d need to come up with an escape plan, like move to another country, etc. But today, my wife told me that conservative bros have been writing things like “Your body, my choice” and one of her black friends got the text you see below.

So, you know what? Fuck that guy and his ghouls! I’m not going anywhere. Despite his win of the popular vote, turnout was way down. If he is somehow able to implement some of the radical notions he’s been floating in the campaign, it’s not going to go well for him.

Fuck that guy.

The Commune

Attached: The Commune

In all candor, I sneered as I added The Commune to my Netflix queue, and expected to sneer as I watched. And indeed, I did sneer a bit at the beginning, but as I heard the stories and pondered the implications of Black Bear Ranch, my respect for these courageous souls grew. Here is life in all its chaos and splendor, but here, too, is an attempt to live as freeborn people in a way that honors personal intent as well as collective responsibility.
